ABOUT ME: Welcome to Harvey's House! My name is Andrea and I'm from East Longmeadow/Springfield, MA. I'm a middle school Special Education Teacher, High School Tennis and Field Hockey Coach, and full-time Animal Lover! I have been walking dogs and pet sitting for about 20 years. I've worked with cats, bunnies, Flemish Giants, guinea pigs, various breeds of dogs, and am willing to take care of most pets. I provide care for neighbors, friends, and pet owners in my local community.
TRAINING & PROCEDURES: If you're in the process of training your dog, we will make sure to stick to any training procedures you follow such as heeling when walking, no biting, no chewing or jumping, and other basic commands. I am loving and gentle but not afraid to be strict if you wish to keep training consistent with your dog(s).
AVAILABILITY: Dogs are welcome anytime of year (weekdays, weekends, most holidays, and throughout the summer). We do host dogs for Doggie DayCare during the school year, provided they fit our criteria. Dogs will need to be trusted alone without the use of a crate. Contact us for more details. If you work late or go away on weekends and need your dog(s) walked, Harvey and I would be happy to help with that too!
ANYTHING YOU NEED: Let us know if your dog needs special modifications during their stay (medications, sensitivities, allergies, etc.) It is important to us that you feel your dog is safe and well cared for!

Your doggos will also be in the amazing care of my husband, Chris. By day, Chris works as a Communications Analyst for Springfield Public Schools. Just like Harvey, he is a big, but gentle, goofball who loves animals and is a huge help with some of the bigger dogs. Like me, Chris cares about established training routines, health and safety protocols, and will make sure your pups have the best stay possible!
Harvey is our 6 year old GoldenDoodle who loves to play! He's an extremely friendly and gentle giant. He does not bite or show aggression towards people or animals in any way! He's made friends with all types of dogs, big or small, and loves having company. Harvey knows just how to socialize your new puppy, calm your anxious pet, or tire out your energetic dog. When your dogs stay with us, they will feel just as comfortable, happy, and safe as they do at home! Plus, they will leave with Harvey as their new pal!
